Do you like the satisfaction of repairing damaged vehicles? The Collision/Refinishing Technology program covers the basics of repairing and painting cars and trucks. This career training program is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and experience to seek entry-level employment in the collision/refinishing industry.
Students in WyoTech's Motorsports Chassis Fabrication program can learn theory and hands-on skills to prepare them for entry-level automotive or specialty automotive technician positions. Topics covered include MIG and TIG welding, frame and suspension modifications, and chassis tuning for different types of motorsports.
In our Street Rod and Custom Fabrication concentration, you can learn the techniques used to customize vehicles and create works of art. You can learn basic specialized sheet metal fabrication techniques as applied to customizing vehicles. Our custom paint training may cover the application of specialized finishes like pearls and candies. Techniques may be taught for special effects including the layout and design of graphics.
This is a specialty concentration for WyoTech students enrolled in the Automotive, Collision/Refinishing and Diesel Technology career education fields. Through intensive hands-on training in a workshop setting, students learn how to repair, create and install trim and upholster for vehicles of all types.
